The Eagles’ first season on NBC premiered on July 26, 2017.
Now that they’ve made it to their third season, the band has set their sights on their own television show.
The Eagles’ new sitcom, The Eagles Show, is described as a “new comedic take on the Eagles’ classic classic catalog.”
The show will air on the Disney XD network in 2019.
“We are proud to bring a new perspective to The Eagles,” said Eagles frontman and lead singer Tom Scholz.
“They’ve always had an incredible musical legacy and we hope to add to that.”
The show is set to debut on the NBCUniversal network in 2018.
It will follow the Eagles as they hit the road for shows like The Greatest Hits, which debuted in 2003, and The Greatest Showman, which premiered in 2006.
“The Eagles have always been a part of the zeitgeist,” said NBCUniversal Chairman and CEO David Glassman.
“I look forward to introducing The Eagles to a new generation of audiences.”
The Eagles will return to the NBCU lineup in 2019, when the band will release their ninth studio album, Songs of Faith.
The album is due out later this year.
